Paxel Mod for Minecraft 1.6.2 adds a new very useful tool to Minecraft, the Paxel.
The Paxel is basically just a new multi-tool made by combining a pickaxe with an axe and a shovel. The Paxel can then mine, dig or chop wood as fast as any of the three tools, so this tools saves a lot of inventory space.
Furthermore, you don’t have to switch between tools to do the different tasks, as this one will do almost everything. The durability of a Paxel is also higher than a pickaxe, axe or shovel on its own, so you do not have to worry about that either.
Another feature of the mod is that it enables you to craft tools out of other materials, new and old, such as obsidian, redstone and steel, giving you even better Paxels to work with.
The mod requires Minecraft Forge.
Its a nice little mod that doesn’t change a whole lot, but is still very useful, and it also doesn’t stand out. It might as well have been a default feature of the game, but until then, you can download the mod below.
Here are some images of the mod:
First, how to craft this new tool, by combining a pickaxe, axe and shovel in the pattern shown here:
Then showing its effectiveness against wood, like an axe:
And dirt, like a shovel:
And finally, stone like a pickaxe:
How to install the Paxel Mod:
