Moses Mod for Minecraft

Moses Mod is a small, but useful, mod that adds 2 new items to the game: The Staff of Moses, and the Burnt Staff of Moses.

Both staves are, despite being pretty easy to craft, infused with divine power, allowing you to wield one of the powers that Moses had; the ability to divide the seas, and with the Burnt Staff of Moses, the ability to divide lava.

The Burnt Staff is the best of the two versions, as it can divide both water and lava, where the normal version “only” have the power to divide water.

The staves also have another feature, which can both be useful and deadly. They can turn stone into water, simply by hitting it. This has many uses, but it’s also easy to drown yourself or do something like that, so be careful.

To divide water or lava, simply face it with staff in hand and right click, this will create a path through it, while also playing a sound from the movie “The Prince of Eqypt”. To “undivide”, simply look somewhere else and right click again, this will return the water or lava to their previous positions.

Another great thing about the staves is that they don’t lose durability, so you can hit and divide all you want without worrying that they will break, they wont.

The crafting of the Staff of Moses is also pretty simple, set fire to a bush (or a treetop) and drop a stick onto the fire, this will create the first staff.

However, the Burnt Staff of Moses is a bit more tricky, here you have to throw the Staff of Moses into lava, and then recover it.

The mod requires Minecraft Forge.
